What we do?

The home works with children and young people who have experienced a wide range of trauma in their lives and will provide the facilities, environment and professional expertise to effectively address issues that are the underlining cause
of emotional and behavioural difficulties. The primary focus is on understanding and treatment.

Additional services

Young people’s assessed therapeutic needs can be met within the home by experienced and qualified therapists.

We have appointed a multi disciplinary team which includes a qualified psychodynamic therapist, an integrative counsellor and an art therapist.

Our team are competent, qualified and well experienced

Safeguarding young people

Every effort will be made to ensure all young people residing at Mayford Road Children’s Home stay safe whilst in our care. All staff involved in the running and management of the home will endeavour to keep young people safe from maltreatment, neglect, violence, bullying, discrimination and sexual exploitation.

Safeguarding procedures such as anti bullying, child protection and complaints are in place. All staff receive appropriate training and have been rigorously vetted.

Education

We firmly are of the view that all young people must be given every opportunity to take full advantage of the educational provision available to them. Throughout their stay at the home the young people will be given all the help and encouragement necessary to achieve their full educational potential.
